Wow, I figured for $8k this car must be a rotbox. With the right help and a friend with a welder and a few new parts (cowl, rear deck panel, a little flat sheetmetal), you could have what little rot is there patched in three weekends.

I hope you don't regret the sale later. If I didn't have three Challengers now, I'd be all over it.

Wanna trade for a driver 73 Chally with a 318? It's rust-free.
My name is Steve and I'm addicted to Challengers...

Since rust was the main problem with your build Greg, it sounds like a good deal. That way you can throw a paint job on it and cruise without ever gatting an A-body.

Yeah, but it's the right help and friend with a welder that's missing.  And I'm tired of messing with it.  I was laying in the car looking up at the firewall to put on the padding and had an epiphany, where I knew I was done.  I don't think I'll regret the sale later - there will always be another one.  As far as your offer, I'm game - if you want to drag your car out here to the West Coast and drag mine home.

if you get down to 6k , I will take it. No hassles and will come get it.  In no.cal

I'll keep your offer in mind.  I have over $8k in parts and machine work in it right now (see attached document), so I'd like to get back at least what I have in it.  The only reason I'm offering it as cheap as I am is A.) It's in pieces, which makes it difficult to sell and B.) The market is down - not a lot of free money floating around right now.

I just posted it to CL last night.  So far, just one call - a technician at JBA (Mustangs) with a turbo VW Bug that runs 11.30s but is set up as a street car.  He claims to have $20k in his Bug, but offered me a straight up trade.  I thought about it for a moment (I'm open to trades for cars other than Mopars, if it's a good deal), but I'd prefer some cash and don't want to have to sell anything I take in trade.

Greg,
Thanks for considering down the road.  Im not working like I used to, so not alot of cash floating around either.  I wish I could just buy it for what you need to get out of it.  Ive been out of the mopar game for some time now.  I used to have one to work on consistantly, just had no time to enjoy them.  Now i have the time with work load way down, and no mopar.  Always works that way, right. take it easy.

If nothing works out for you Greg, i would consider flying over and fixing the rust issues in your Challenger  just need somewhere safe to stay and good food, and good company to keep me happy is all, (and a welding machine would be handy :smilielol::2thumbs:

me neither...
just checked flying from germany, saves about a 100/150 bucks.
the date doesn`t vary very much as long as you don`t fly mid summers or around christmas. I checked oct. and jan.
