Now I have been nagging for 6 months about getting the car to the shop for sandblasting but now I can actually say it's ready to go. :thumbsup:Have been cutting out the destroyed nuts for the bumperbrackets and welded in new ones, welded and bolted in some bars for the dooropening and removing the glassrubber kind of silicone POS from the windshieldframe. That was really a timeconsuming work with a knife, nice was that the frame is rustfree. when it's back from the shop I will get some crossbars welded in before Bart hangs it up in the rotesserie and the floor goes out.

No, I bought my AMD stuff from Daniel at E-body products in the US. Buying and shipping directly
from the US made me having the Shakerhood for "free" compared to if I should have bought everything overhere.

Still need a lot of parts for my project.

Sandblaster took vacation without finishing my car so I have to start with all kind of smaller projects to be busy with something. Emptying the doors so I can start sanding them and the rear axle needs some cleaning before going for powdercoating.
Anybody here that does restoring/replating of doorlatches and stuff?

Cleaned off some 7-8 layers of paint and a lot of filler on the drivers door which comes from another car. since the door looked perfect before I didn't expect so many dents but boy was I surprised. How does a proffesional fix this door since you can't reach the skin from the inside due to the "collisionbars"? Is filler the only option?

Hi Bart I used the black one, the one that looks like small ropes glued together. What I can do is to ask a local bodyman here if he can do something with it. I also think it needs to be sandblasted because of the small, tiny
craters of rust they painted over on the bottomside. With the "metaliseren" I will be sure to not have any bubbles coming up within a few years.

Passengerside door is much better regarding dents but has a ugly front bottom cornor which they just filled with bondo. Is cutting a piece out here the way to go? Still have to find that bodymen since my ex don't want to do my cars anymore.

Just get the stud gun dent puller. It also includes a heat shrink tip. Easy to use and you'll just end up with only a skin coat if it's done properly.

Here's a pic from HarborFreight.com  Got mine for $79 on sale  Used it many, many times.  I can't seem to find it on Harbor Freight's catalog page though.   many other companies sell them but for lots more money.
