I thought about the unsprung weight. It wouldn't be much of a difference but I suppose a whole bunch of little bits make for an overall better handling car.

Yes I like them very much.  The car now handles better and the ride is great, stiff but not so much that it a ruff ride.  Side roll is minimal and I gained 1" clearence ove the old worn out shocks.  :2thumbs:

So the ride did get stiffer??

What do you mean by you gained 1" of clearance?? Did the ride height go up 1"??

So the ride did get stiffer??  Yes side to side body roll is much better than the old shocks. But the old shocks where toast.

What do you mean by you gained 1" of clearance?? Did the ride height go up 1"?? Yes I gained 1" in ride height, but I think that was due mostly do to the old shocks. I have driven the car for three weeks and the ride height has stayed the same as when I first put them on.

Those Edelbrocks have to be about the best value in a shock. Not cheap but not expensive at $80 odd a piece. I am sure happy with mine. Seem to make the car handle good.

Got mine installed but the weather here is wet, windy, and cold so I haven't been able to go for a drive.  :(   Snow could come now at any time. 440 Challengers don't handle well in the snow no matter what shock is in there.
