Thanks for the pix. I'm pretty bummed as this is the first NATS I've missed in ages. I just don't know why my sister-in-law had to get pregnant and have a shower, my mom got married and had a reception and a number of old and new friends all needed to get together THIS weekend. Didn't they get the memo!? Oh, well, hopefully, next year I'll make it. I felt bad enough in 2000 when I had to miss them for my own wedding. :crying:

This was my first Nats.  I wish I could have watched more of the racing, but I was only there for one day, Saturday.  I really wanted to see the FWD cars go at it.
Anyone catch the burnout contest?  Is it me or did the Monaco get robbed? lol.

The Satellite won didn't he. I'm not sure the Monaco got robbed, the guy in the Satellite was on the throttle pretty good. Our buddy was in the orange 80's dodge long bed.

  :iagree:

I couldn't believe it came in third. That thing sounded awesome.   :burnout:

Did anyone see that little Dodge Omni that was running 10 second quarter miles in the front wheel drive class? I would love to know what he had in that thing.

In all honesty, those are my favorite cars to watch. My first car may have been a '71 Satellite but my first daily driver was a 1984 Horizon that I absolutely loved. Watching those GLHs shoot down the track makes everyone's jaw drop especially when they take out a Corvette or Mustang. In my opinion, they are definitely the most underrated vehicle ever made and the gnarliest sleepers by far.

Thanks for sharing.  When I look at some of the pix I wonder if there are any of my old cars there.  Never know I have owned a bunch of them and it is very possible that one would show up.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
