Should be fine or the shop would not have let it go. Weather should be OK too, your south of me and without those great lakes--that dump snow mid Nov.

AMEN TO THAT!

I was able to sleep last night knowing she was at least home.

Funny how attached we get to our rides.  I have been a mess lately over this whole deal.....the whole summer was mired in issues around the transmission.....you all have been so much help....you guys and my buddy Howard.....man, he has heard more of my whining than anyone....always there to lend an ear.....I have been promsng Howard that he gets to drive the car for all the whining he has endured, and things have kept coming up to prevent that (mostly trans related stuff)......hopefully before the snow flies....

Maybe cut the trip short. You're keeping the whole site in suspense! I stopped watching TV since this thread started. We're waiting on the happy ending!

I think you should tell Howard that you are away and he can drive your car the entire time that you're gone.

You be careful with it...I mean with not driving it for so long and being away now with a newer rental car.

I sound like an "old man" cause I recall once over 20 years ago when I first put headers and glass packs header mufflers on my ride (1970 Olds) Sounded so cool I was leaded footing it everywhere and the next day I wiped out around a curve and totaled it out...

 :cooldancing:

Well just got back from about 50 miles of driving/playing.

The tranny shifts very nice and even now....now harsh clunking or banging into gear, dowwnshifts are just right and it has nice manners now.

The shifts are firm but not harsh.  I was at first surprised that it didnt lurch into gear etc....maybe thinking it should be firmer with the shift kit.  But I thinks its pretty good, far as I can tell.

I tried a number of times to make it double-bump and so far so good.   Will try and get more drive time in and see for sure......I think if it was going to do it, it would have already.....but its only 55/60 out and I think it was heat related in part....but keeping my fingers crossed.

But man, its so much nicer to drive around town now!
