Well, 3:30 and still no word.

I have this feeling he is going to want to keep it longer.

Hope I am wrong of course.

(I just noticed the time stamp on my message is wrong......)

Of coarse, if someone dropped a Chally off to you, wouldn't you want to go and cruz it around "to make sure there are no problems"????
Hope you hear back soon!

LOL Yeah I guess so.  :cooldancing:

Part of the concern here is I HAVE to pick up this car tonight ....wont be able to until next monday if not. Plus I have to pickup a rental car tonight by 6. And pack etc.  So lots to do.

I guess if he still needs it he still needs it.....  :working:

Like I said, I am not looking to rush him.  What can I do.

It's killin' me though....LOL

Does he know your dilemma?  If not, just let him know, and let him know if he needs more time, go for it.  You definitely don't want to pester him to the point where he just wants you out of his hair (not that you are, but just a general mention).

Well I told him a couple times now about my being out of pocket.

No problem, and like you said I dont want to pester or rush him.

Would rather he keep it til he was happy with his work.

But, I also dont want it just sitting outside if its done tomorrow, lets say.

I am keeping my fingers crossed...still an hour and a half to go...would have liked to have had a chance to run it a bit today though...but at this point just want to get her home.  LOL   :violin:

(Can I please have some cheese to go with my whine?)  :-[

You don't want it sitting outside for a week.  :grinno:   If he needs more time,go get it tonight and bring it back to him when you get back in town.

All I will say is I though noon seemed early for all that needed to be done. Too bad you are leaving town...funny when I got my trans it was like that too but it was done the day before I left...was great too, drove it for a long drive home easy and then it sat for about a week.

I was told long ago after having a trans rebuilt you should drive it easy for around 30 mins to get the the oil everywhere and so it can soak in to the bands and clutches.

Nope! My drag car transmissions get filled with fluid, run thru the gears once or twice off the ground maybe, then full throttle down the track.  :burnout:

Well, no word back from the shop.

Guess I will touch base with him tomorrow from the road and see what happened.  :dunno:

Remind me never to go to a casino with you, he he.

If its a cool shop--and sounds like it--they might pull it in each night. They understand some of us think of our cars like its our baby. (really I'm not like that but I'm abnormal, LOL. (plus my ride isn't wroth big bucks)

Just an(other) update:

The shop called me on my cell when I was already out of twon....tuesday (yesterday) around noon.....car was ready.

LOL

I was able to get my wife and her dad to pay and pick it up.....he babied it going home for the short ride but said it seemd ok as far as basic operation.

The car is safely parked in my garage now and waiting for me.

No leaks or anything according to my wife.

Its gonna be a long few days waiting to get back home!   :violin:

Hopefully the weather will be ok when Iget back ...will keep you all updated...thanks again for the support....
