Thats good news. Too bad you had to go through hell to find a good tranny shop. I would badmouth the other shop every chance you get until you think you have gotten your moneys worth. Nothing like incompetent, unethical people.

:dogpile:  You got that right!!!!!!    :dogpile:

Took the car out for a ride and ended up at a cruise....on the way home, cool evening air mixed with gas vapors, my family with me and Boston playiong on the stereo....Cant get much better!

Car ran good, tranny shifts smooooooooooth......shifts properly when I manually shift....

Occasionally it short shifts but I think that is more load oriented.....and no where near as short a shift as before.

So far so good on the double bump issue....

I would say this second guy knows how to tweek these things!   :working:

Planning on taking her put tomorrow for awhile too.....

 :clapping:

Wish I had found him first. COuld have saved me so much grief and time.

Now I have to get a hold of the first shop and see what they say.

Hey Terry, did you ever get a hold of them ?

Your trans is fix dude  :smokin: Stop worrying about it. Was super nice up here today, high 67 degress...was out on the road at 7:45am and got back at 9:30am when I was finally tried of hot rodding it, lol. Then took a nap and went out for more fun just before noon.

Mopar's are the best for not breaking down. If its working great now it keep on working great for a very long time...even if you beat on it daily (don't ask how I know).

I adjust the kickdown band on my new trans for the second time today. Been amost a full month and 650 miles on mine. I say my band is set now for the next few thousand miles if not more.

If you do drive it hard daily the bands wear a bit more at first.

You should just enjoy your car as much as you can and next spring let the shop adjust the kickdown band on you trans--unless you want to. Sure they be more than happy to and see how its doing.

As for that other shop  >:( Even if they do refund your cash (I doubt it without a fight) I still would badmouth them and like not even let them NEAR any of your rides.

That's great news! :jumping:  I'm really glad to hear it all worked out. Now you just need to do a big ol' smokey burnout to make sure that tranny is in good order. :burnout: :smilielol: Don't forget to make a video and post it hear for the rest of us to enjoy.

With the 2.76s in the back, I cant do smokey burnouts yet.....   :violin:

Gotta start looking for some 3.55s.....wonder if that will be enough?  Dont want to go too high..plan on doing some highway driving occasionally....

After a couple days of testing, I think I can say my tranny is FINALLY right!  I am forever the cynic, so I am crossing my fingers and knocking wood.....LOL

So I wanted to post the name of the shop that did the job RIGHT:

Great Valley Automotive in North Versailles PA.  Worked with the owner, Jim Cassidy.

The guy did a great job and I am very pleased!  I plan on taking the car back to him when I finally get the 3.55s so he can tweak the curve and such.....  :bananasmi

The shop that DIDNT do the job right I will hold off on publicly listing until this pans out.....I will say its a Cottman shop in the Pgh area.....hopefully the owner will make things right with me and make it easy on both of us.

At least I can feel better in my mind and not dread driving the car!   And I can finally start moving on to other aspects of the car.....   :money: :working: :woohoo:

Dave,

It really all depends on how you plan to drive the car. I have 3:23's on mine, but 90% of the time I drive it is Hiway. 3:55's would work fine for you, but go higher than that, and I think you would be abusing the engine if traveling a distance...Say to Carlisle next year.    :naughty: You don't want to be revving 3500RPM for hours.
