So the next chapter in this drama has opened -- looking to get reimbursed.

Well, called the first shop (Cottman's) this morning.  The owner listened to what I had to say and said he would "bend over backwards" for me.....then I told him I wanted reimbursed for the labor from the other place, etc.....he said to fax him the invoice and he would get back to me.....Faxed that off a little while ago, so we will see.

He didnt hang up on me, which I guess at least that is a good sign.

He didnt seem surprised about what I was saying about the tech...and the tech I was dealing with is no longer answering the phone....they either got a new guy to help with the phone or the tech is gone..... :dunno:

We'll see if this guy really wants to do what is right or what soon enough....will keep you all posted.

Terry, if you were doing a R/R and rebuild, how many hours would be the R/R ?  It took me about 4-5 hrs to remove and then 4-5 to reinstall but thats me on my back in the garage, with a floor jack etc.....How fast should a pro be able to do the R/R ?

Well, just got back from tranny shop #1.

After a few days of back and forths, we settled it.

I knocked 4 hours off of the second shops bill to cover R/R and tweaking.

Basically he told me that he feels he could have won in court but didnt want to go to court as he never had before and didnt want to start...he apologized that things went the way they did and said it would never happen again.....

Hard to stay angry at someone when they do what;s right and come off as a pretty decent person overall.

He could have strung this out for weeks.

So, assuming the check clears (and I have no reason to think it wont), this drame finally comes to a close. :jumping:

I have a tranny that seems to work great, I am not out a ton of cash and no hard feelings between me and the first shop...PLUS I guess I finally found a good shop I can trust in the second place!

I know that this thread has gone on...painfully long.  :horse:

But I just want to let you all know here that without y'alls support (was gonna say "yunz's support...Pittburghese) I may have gone off the deep end...LOL

So thanks to all again!

There's actually two schools of thought on that...

Some say 'Yinz'  and some say 'yunz'....It may actually be a neighborhood/area thing....LOL

Hey you did better than I thought.

Good thing you left that first shop.

Up here in Michigan we have another fine weekend of weather coming up, enjoy. Too bad gas prices aren't coming down like they used to in the Fall.
