trunk weatherstrip 74 Cuda - pics?
« on: August 15, 2009 - 11:05:48 AM »
I need to replace the weatherstrip on the trunk of the Cuda, it was gone when I got the car.

I bought a kit that included the doors too, but looking at the trunk piece it does not seem to me to be real clear on how it is supposed to go in.

Any one have any pics?

Jeff,

If it's like the Challenger, you have to glue it around the trunk opening. Just make sure your seem is at the bottom, so water won't sneak in. You should have a few inches extra to trim off too.

I was afraid you were going to say that, it looks nothing like the Challenger's.

It's plenty long but the shape of it is completely different.  :crying:
Now I gotta figure which one is wrong, and I'm sad cause I would think it's the new one I got that's wrong.

Jeff,

Let's just hope you do indeed have the right one. Hopefully a Cuda owner will chime in here and confirm it.
