383- 727 trans problem
« on: August 16, 2009 - 02:57:11 AM »
Hi,took my challenger out recently, been in garage as winter here, running good ,upshifting good and will downshift with good kick on gas pedal,my issue is it doesnt want to change down when coming to stop, tries to take off in high gear, also when manual shift from standstill from 1st to 2nd feels like braking ,only does this with manual shifting ,ok when in drive, trans fluid clean and correct level, any ideas whats wrong, have checked kickdown linkage and seems fine.cheers :nzflag:

If you want try a little trick? take it to a spot with some pea gravel and spin the tires in it. Works sometimes.
