This was my first time at Moparfest! I had a great time!!!I got to Meet Cuda JAS ! Great guy!
Doomed ( Kyle) set me up with console brackets. And well...I tried real hard to walk away from the rear window louvers, but I found out the ones Herb's Parts  sells are made near Montreal and he was at Moparfest. Same price as at Carlisle but in Canadian funds and no tax or border hassles! The vendor Limited Parts Industries said he fits everyone to his personal Challenger before they ship out. That, the price, and the fact they were Right there staring me in the face caused a temporary moment of insanity!  :angelwings:  All I remember next was putting this rather large wooden box in my van :dunno:  I got home and opened the box AND THERE IT WAS??? :clueless: :roflsmiley:
I also scored the dash parts I needed for my 1970 Challenger for 50 Bucks!!! I thought that was a great deal!! Also got door lock clips, pentastar badge for the fender, vinyl trim moulding( had to pay $175 Canadian for that ? Too much? ) and clips. I'm thinking about painting the roof black to break up some of the sub-lime paint.
You know I found the vendors prices were cheaper than at Carlisle! Plus the dollar difference!! US members would do good buying parts up here! I even saw a few vendors from Carlisle that sold for the same price but in Canadian dollars! Anyone north of PA might want to think about coming up if they needed anything or was in the market for a new to them car!!! Prices were great I thought! Cheaper than at Carlisle that's for sure!!. My son took all the pictures he sure is drawn to B-bodies! LOL He loves 1968-69 Chargers!

Hey Brad,

Great to meet you, and your boys, as well.  Thanks again for dropping off the wheels!

I also met AAR Cuda 340+6 (Ray), a great guy as well.

I spent most of my time in the swap area and hanging out with my wife, we left the kids at home. Sorry no pics. Meant to take some but didn't.

I picked up a few things, fan shroud, wire strap kit, front license plate bracket (broke mine Sat morning), and a steering column.  Unfortunately the column is for power and I need a manual, any one want to trade????

Hope to be back next year!

Jason

What a great show this year, never seen so many cars!!  I think they announced rough estimate of 1600 cars!!

Seems the new Challenger's were quite popular, there was at least one down every row.  I saw the new louvers, they looked great

Thanks for the kind words Jason.  It was a pleasure meeting you & your wife also.

I kept an eye open for other c-c.com members, but no luck.   Maybe another year someone could create a "cuda-challenger.com" banner and members could place it on the dash so other members would know the car & owner belong to the forum.   T-Shirts would be cool too.

I'm working on getting some pictures posted on "Flickr" so when I'm set up I'll post the link in a new thread.

The one thing that "Moparfest" needs to improve on is how cars leave the park.  When the show officially ended at 4:30 pm it seemed like 1,500 cars were all trying to leave at the same time out 1 exit.  I moved 50 feet from where my car was parked to the dirt road that circles the park and then sat there for 30 min. without moving.  Thankfully they opened up another exit and more cars were able to turn around and get out with little waiting time.  Did anyone else get caught up in the traffic jam?  Sorry for my little rant but seeing people leaving their cars to get out of the heat and find shade after sitting so long was sad.  I worried for the elderly couple in front of me as they sat in the car and finally had to get out and find shade to cool off.

Thanks for posting the pics Brad.  Glad you got the stuff you wanted.
You can call me RAY or RAYMOND or RAZOR or THE ZOR!
