So your's is under the hood.....any issue with the brake light coming on as was suggested elsewhere?

Never had that issue because of the adjuster. I had it come on once when a broken line at the rear drained the fluid though. I can't see how the adjuster could cause a problem with the brake warning light.
I'll try to post a pic over the next couple days, my rear brake line comes out the bottom of the prop valve so it will be a little different than yours. I have the header off that side at the moment because, like you, I just replaced the steering box.

Its a Mopar logo. Wilwood makes them for Mopar Performance

I bought mine at the local Chrysler dealership. That was five years ago (I think) and it was about $40. I would check with your local dealer and Mancini's and go with whoever is cheaper.

  You'll run through a fair amount of brake fluid bleeding out the rear brakes as well.

What do you think about DOT 5 fluid? Is it compatible with whatever DOT3 is left in the lines?

I don't know about compatibility.  I know the newer fluids have a higher boiling point but I don't know if they 'play well' with older types. If I remember right, I stuck with DOT3.

After some sniffing around on the web, looks like generally speaking DOT 5 is not a good idea.

main issue, wont mix at all with dot 3/4....would require completely flushed or new lines, etc...I was looking at dot 5 as attractive since it wont eat paint if it get on it....

I'll just stick with dot 3/4.

the Dot 5 is not compatable with other fluid so you would have to flush out the entire system to use dot 5 , if everything is new you can use Dot 5

Yeah, i read somewhere that if you mix Dot 5 with 3 or 4 it turns to GEL!!!!!!

If you look at the pic of my prop valve, you'll see where 'non paint eating' fluid would have been nice.

Yeah I have an area in my 92 Dakota that had that happen....

Thing is, dot 5 means replacing or at least flushing the brake lines and hoses and probably replacing or at least rebuilding the rear cylinders. Even then you wont be sure you got all the dot 3 out.

I also read that dot 5 is more compressible so it tends to feel spongier.

Nah...gonna stick with the old stuff and just try and be real careful...this is one reaosn I went with the new style (plastic reserviour) MC.....much less likely to leak ......I hope...LOL
