Not much to those vapor separators is there.  Lukily I got mine all cleaned up and the internal valve is working again.  It would still be nice to find an NOS one but I'm sure the price would be rediculous.

Here's a few more pics...

I was curious how well the bumper fillers would fit in the new fenders/quarters so the bodyshop took some pics for me.  It looks like they fit pretty good.

Some pics after most of the filler work was done.

...the car is not being supported by a sawhorse...at first glance it looks like it though...

The car was sprayed with polyester primer a couple days ago.  Hoping it will be painted by June 1st.

Once it's painted, they will apply the strobe stripes I bought from ChallengerGary and then it comes home...finally!

Great to see your getting SO Close.....   :woohoo:

Have you ever determined the finish for the bumper fillers?
What color for the front & how to get the metallic look on the rear, all my attempts have had issues.

The front fillers are natural.  I only have two options with those.  Either paint them a color that matches the natural gray or find NOS.  I think you will be able to tell they are painted so I may try to find new ones.  I havn't decided yet.

As far as the rear is concerned,  I havn't decided on that either.  There is a member on Moparts that I talked to at the Nat's last year.  He ended up doing what I suggested to him which was to spray the dark argent(Totally Auto's paint) on first and then mist the light argent onto it.  His turned out pretty good.  You won't get the same texture as factory but it is a close match in color.

I had a phone conversation with Mike from BE&A about the tail panel argent awhile ago.  He makes his own for use on the products he sells.  He has some origonal Chrysler argent samples that the factory used for quality control when some pre-painted parts came in from other suppliers.  His team spent a lot of time and money creating there own argent to match those samples.

He said he would be willing to send his painter out to shoot the tail of my car if I wanted to go that route.  The problem is that it would be a lot of money to pay his painter to drive two hours to where the car is, paint it and then drive back.

Thanks, I'll check into those.  I'm definatly not putting the origonal ones back on the car.  They'd stick out like a soar thumb.

I'll clear out some of my PM's.  Thanks

Check around, there may be some on hand at local dealerships.. A Good dealer can search the network & locate if there are any out there.

Tony's parts has NOS listed for $50.  I'll probably have a friend of mine do a dealer search for them first.

Polyester primer is all sanded.  Final primer should be sprayed tomorrow night.  Planning on spraying color the 29th.
