Well, the car is home safe in my garage. :cooldancing: I don't think it's really set in yet.   No pictures right now.  Not much else to see that hasn't already been shown except for the stripes.

The argent on the tail panel turned out really really good.  I was pretty worried about it accually.  The pics that I posted of the rear end didn't reflect the true color/texture because of the flash.  The texture isn't as rough as it was from the factory but I've seen a lot of variation in the texture on origonal cars.  I think it is close to what this car origonally had.  As far as the color is concerned, it is dead on IMO. (one coat of light argent over a dark argent base)

OK, I got some pics loaded up this morning.

As soon as it was out of the trailer, a bird dropped a bomb on it...

I'm afraid time and money won't allow for that.  I'm going to put it together slowly.  No point in rushing it.

I've got the headlight bucket screws in the tumbler right now.  I should have them on today.  Then I need to find a paint to use for the rad blackout.

It's kind of hard to read him sometimes.  He says it looks nice...I just thought he'd be a little more excited about it.  He's kind of like me in many ways...doesn't smile much and has a dry sence of humor.  I think he likes it.

I think I posed a pic of my uncle washing it back in 75 at the begining of this thread.  Anyway, my uncle was over at my parents house for a family reunion a few weeks ago.  He came over to my house and had a look at it.  He couldn't believe how nice it looked.  I think it would be cool to reproduce that pic from 1975 once the car is done.

I've made a little progress on the car.  I'd like to get a little more done before I post more pics.  So far I've been resisting the urge to throw parts back on it.  If the part isn't as nice as my abilities allow, it won't go back on.

I spent about $1000 in parts at the Nat's so I should have enough stuff to keep me busy for awhile.   I dropped off the grill/valence trim at MCB metal for dent removal and polishing while at the Nats so I should have those back in a few weeks.
