Self etching primers.

How much can I expect to pay for a good quality self etching primer? Which one would be the best choice and whats the best place to get the priemer at a good price?

I paid $20 for a quart @ Carlisle. Made by SEM.

I have mixed paint brands with no problems but your best bet is to use the same brand/line as you are going to paint the car with.I have been using PPG products for a long time but there are many other quality paint lines out there.If you have a shop in mind to paint your car ask them what they prefer you to use.

I use the SEM primers also.  Have had good luck with them so far.

  Good idea to use the same primer, paint and thinners then there can be no conflicts.   :2thumbs:

If the car is getting blasted use a epoxy to seal the metal then scuff and 2K over that.
