No it has nothing to do with Sarah  :roflsmiley:  Heard yesterday that there was an earthquake up there. Have not heard just where or how big?  You OK Barry? Got any further information for us?  :wave:

That's nowhere near Barry - he's almost 1000 miles away.  My mother lives in Kenai, which is about 150 miles from the epicenter and based on the shake map, she probably didn't feel it either.

I'm ok. Did not feel anything here in Fairbanks. We had a string of them early in the summer for about a week. Some over 6.0 but they were very short. I was afraid they were leading up to a real big one. Biggest I have felt is a 7.9 back about 6-8 years ago. That is enough to give you the piss quivers. I thought the house was going to come apart. Up here you get used to a little shaking from time to time but it is hard to get used to a 7.9.

It looks like it was about the same distance away from me as Colorado is.

Alaska averages over 100 quakes a month so I was told a few years back. They dont count the ones under 3.0

Yeah most are down in the gulf though and the panhandle.
