I seen on MSN sports yesterday that Jeremy maclin isn't going to play much this year unless someone gets hurt, looks like I'm going to have to go look for someone to take his place

I think it would be safe to drop him in this League.

I don't mean to interrupt guys, but that was an interesting question Scott. I just wonder how people in this league handled the draft...if they dare to tell. For me, I did rank enough players to get thru the first 6 rounds or so, then I let Yahoo do it. I figured by then I was splitting hairs between #3 wide receivers and back-up running backs.

Rank Player thru 6 rounds - #3 wide recivers and running backs ?????

it's just for fun.

did you draft him (pre-rank) or did Yahoo give hime to you?

i did pre rank him. really thought that he was gonna be awesome for the chiefs this year. just one game in so far, not looking so well.

I usually only pre-rank about 25-30 players and let Yahoo take it from there.  There's usually a couple of players Yahoo has highly ranked I don't like (Michael Forte) and a few they have ranked further down that I want (Antonio Gates).  I also like to see if I can get a good QB/RB or QB/WR/TE pairing, so that if the QB throws a TD pass to the RB/WR/TE, I get 12 points out of it.  For example, I have Drew Brees/Pierre Thomas on my team in our league and Philip Rivers/Antonio Gates on my public league team.

OHHH, you have NO idea who you are dealing with here, do you?  :grinno:

I have NEVER been in a fantasy football league before. I was in a few fantasy baseball leagues, but I got way tooo much into it, if you know what I mean. Sooo, here we are in a league for fun, and I have three mags and some Internet stuff helping me draft players.   :pullinghair:  Can't you see I'm a nut case? I don't want to come in last, but even though money isn't an object here, I have probably put more effort into this than necessary.    I do watch football, and love it. I did deviate from the rankings Yahoo was giving. My own opinion is Clinton Portis and Ladaimian Tomlinson had NO business being in anyone's top 20.  When I nailed Adrian Peterson, Tom Brady, and Calvin Johnson with my first three picks, I was happy as a clam.   :icon16:

We'll see how this all plays out.

..Still looking for Drew Brees on the free-agent list.     :naughty:

I'll just sign obsessive compulsive.

That's ok Mike.

Matt is my QB in my fantasy league and last week he scored a total of 2 points.  :stomp: This week I sit him and he scores 37 ponts,  :bricks1: luckily I still won though.

I won’t know what to do with him next week.  :pullinghair:

I feel bad for you Sleepy, made me sick watching it.  Can you believe that Jamarcus Russell hadn't completed a pass in the second half and had a QB rating of 27 came back and won in the final minutes.

Chiefs blew it big time. Cassell wasn't great, but he will be better the more he plays

Here we go into week 3, how does everyone like this so far, mostly the new guys?

I have made some observations, and thought I make some suggestions to help strengthen the competition.

On your team roster page, you can check that weeks projected points for that player, this may help in setting your roster.

The Free Agency has some pretty good players out there still, you may want to look and compare who is on your bench to who is available.

Some times it is not a good idea to keep 2 kickers or 2 def, these are pretty readily available week to week, these positions don't really carry high points anyway, get a RB or WR, even a QB or TE isn't to bad either.

Check some of the other Teams Rosters, see what they are doing for comparison.

Yahoo Sports offers some good tools on this site, Start em' and Sit em', Rankings, Projections, etc, just look around, you'll find them.

Don't forget about trades, you can make a offer, if rejected, so what, but how will you ever know?

Don't forget, Add/Drops are open up until 5 minutes before the game, and then re-open at 8pm est/edt on Tuesday.

Of 'Course, you could just ignore me and tell me I'm smoking some bad s#!+
