I wasn't trying to be coy...Just making a long story short!  My original dashpad was made by Davidson Manufacturing in Farmington MA.  Davidson was bought and sold before being acquired by Collins & Aikman.  If you are anywhere around the auto industry, you know that C&A doesn't even exist anymore, and the assets were acquired by some private equity firm a few years ago.

No, not David Hakim.  Someone else entirely.  Back when they were re-starting the product licensing a couple years ago, Mopar was asking what products people wanted.  I started a dialogue about several products, including dashpads.  Doesn't look like it will ever happen now!

wow Tom! It's great to have a history lesson.
I work with guys from the now defunct C & A. Great intelligent people that know their product and manufacturing process. In the back of my mind, I kinda hoped it would have been them.
Since things have changed hands a few more times, the potential to start these conversations is there.
I woul love to understand more, in greater detail.
