72 Challenger Window Felts....HELP!!!!

I am putting together a '72 Challenger for a friend.  I took a look at the door window felts tonight.  I am very confused!    He gave me the new window felts and I am assuming they are the correct ones.  There are two with holes in them and two with clips on the backs.

I believe the two with holes in them are the outer ones and they get riveted to the door?  Do these require you to drill the holes in the door to mount them?  The holes from the original ones do not match up to the holes in the felts.  How do you know where to place them on the door?  The original one is still on the passenger door and I can see that it does not go to the edges of the door. 

That would mean the other ones are for the door panels right?  They do not look like they would fit the door panels.   

Is there anything wierd like this for the small rear windows?  Is there a trick to putting them on too?

When I did mine they were pretty self explanatory, do you have pics of your parts?

Mine screwed on to the doors, holes lined up pretty good.

I actually just put new ones on mine today....the correct ones for my  70 are clip ones but my drivers door had screw holes(must have replaced the door at on time)so I got screw ones cause I thought they were all scre on   so I had to alter the ones I got  they were screw ones(because for the other three I needed clip ones)   ...went on pretty good on the outside up against they glass but the inside ones are a bit of a pain ..the ones that go on you moulded door panel.... ....Matt...

Not sure on Challengers but on 'cudas they don't go all the way back to the back of the door, there is a gap where the rear quarter window ovelaps, so if they seem short line them up starting at the front.

door outers have the holes , i riveted mine on.
inners on the doors go on the panels, i started at one end end slipped em on, not slid them on from end to end, know what i mean?. just roll em over the panel edge and push down.
rear outers clip on, and the inners are on the panel just like the doors.
if youd like, i can take some pics in the a.m. tomorrow. its easier than it looks.

Here is a full length pic... the one with the clips ( on the bottom in this pic)  is a couple inches longer than the one with the holes.



Wagesofsin,  Pics would be great!  Did you drill thru the holes in the felt to rivet it on with the holes that did not match up?  Most of mine do not line up!  Thanks!

if the holes dont line up, switch sides. mine lined up fine.

no, your ok, the clips do go in the door, when i got my new ones they didnt have any clips.
so i riveted em on.

as for the panel felts, you should definately see a "c" type channel where they will go over the front and rear panels.

Yes , the 70s only had the clips on the outside into the door & they make the new inners to rivit on
