I see them all the time on TV taking off paint and undercoat without eating into the metal (too much anyway) but I don't know what this tool is called. Thanks for the help.

Roloc wheels are awesome!  I use the green corp 3M 80-grit discs and red scotch bright discs for prepping metal.

if you have a parts store in your area id buy the Norton roloc holder and copycat add-ons.  they are more economical than the 3/m stuff and every bit as good.  those roloc disks are handy as heck for everything from bodywork to taking off gaskets.

We used to use those at the dealership for brake work.

We used to call the pads "cookies".  :grinyes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

So the tool is just called a 90 degree die grinder? I see the disks used on a tool that works at 90 degrees to your hand, not straight out like a regular die grinder. Thanks yall.
