Another first for me.
« on: August 24, 2009 - 09:49:52 PM »
I bought my car in '94 and after I went through it the only thing that did not work was the dome light. I never wanted to mess with it and left it alone. All through my tear down and paint the headliner stayed in there except for the trim. It was secured by all the bows, seat belt holders and clothes hangers. I took it the rest of the way out since it is black and I need to change it over to white. Well we always wonder whats up inside there? In my case it was 3 strips of R-11 3.5" fiberglass insulation   :scared:  That is definitely a first for me. I guess it would work alright but wtf were they thinking?

Yeah it was put in there pretty tight and overlapped so it actually was functional. Just odd to think of that crap decaying away above me like that. Good thing I did not drive that car too much lol. I bet in the 15 years I have had it I have maybe put 15k on it. It was my daily driver for about 2 years around town.
