Valve body question

Will a 1972 BB trans valve body fit into a 1976 SB tranny?

Im pretty sure it will. Some of the programing shift points might be off a bit, but like when you buy a cheetah reverse pattern valve body, it fits the years your asking big and small block. I think like 10 bolts holds it in place.

According to what engine setup and what rear end the shifts could be  a lot  different.  Yes it will fit.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Cool. I am going to use the extra valve body to do a shift kit to while I still drive it.
