Need help... Clutch Pivot Bearing
« on: August 25, 2009 - 10:59:48 AM »
This past weekend I went to look into why my clutch pedal was all wonky and found that the pivot ball was loose on the outside mount.  I figured I'd remove the zbar and clean it up and regrease the bearings only to find that I had only one bearing.  The other side had nothing.  There was nothing in the shaft so it probably never had anything in there.  I have been looking everywhere for the plastic bearing that goes around the pivot ball and which then goes into the shaft, but have had no luck.  Every store I go to only has what looks like a bushing.  O'Reilly's said we can order it, but it will be in on Tuesday.  When I went to pick it up this morning it was bushing.  Anybody know the part number or where I can find the part?  (My wife is starting to get annoyed that I keep borrowing her car)

Chrycho, you got a part number?  though I may just order the rebuild and freshen the whole thing up.
