What's the proper name of these parts and where do I get them?
« on: August 25, 2009 - 10:40:57 PM »
Just replacing my door handles and door interior panels today. I found some parts that need replacing SOON/NOW! What is the name of the part that the window slides up and down on? Holds the window from rattling? The are adjustable and have fuzzes on the so they don't scratch the window? 2 on the inside of the glass and one on the outside of the glass? Also the rubber stopper when the window is down all the way?
Any suggestions who sells replacements? Tom at R/T specialties?
Thought I would get the proper name of these parts before I go looking for them!

Never seen the fuzzes, some have suggested replacing with various things...including ladies hose.

I got some of the fuzz from Funk Brothers a couple of years back on  :ebay: . They sent me several pieces but I believe they are no longer selling.  :dunno: I was told then that they got the material from overseas as they could not find a US source.  :2cents: Try looking at a local fabric store like Hancocks (local chain store) or someplace like Hobby Lobby another local chain for something close as they are hidden when installed.

Good Luck

Thanks That's one of the parts I needed!

So you can buy just the felt/fuzzy part on the window"guides"? That would be cool! If anyone know where please post it and let up know!

There was a big thread on this on Moparts a while back.  Someone was trying to find a soarce for correct looking felt.  I don't know if they ever found anything.  Someone ordered window felt from a Chevrolet outfit that was supposed to be for a Camaro that was very close in appearence to the Mopar stuff.

OK, I did a search and found the link.  Here you go.
