Found a easy image resizing solution
« on: August 04, 2004 - 05:00:46 PM »
Hey guys I thought I would post this for any of our members who have trouble posting pictures due to not being able to resize them.  There is a 200 kb limit on attachments.  Since my hard drive crashed I lost photoshop and have been too lazy to load it back on.  I found this thru a google search for image resize tool.  Super easy to use, web based so you dont have to download anything and does a great job.  http://eee.uci.edu/toolbox/imageresize/

If anyone has Office XP, there is a Microsoft Office Picture Manager under Microsoft Office Tools.  It works pretty good and straight forward.

Found a link to this over at moparts and thought I would share it:  http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe
you download and install this from Microsoft and it puts a "resize pictures" option in your right click menu when you right click on an image on your computer.  you can do multiple images at once.  this is much faster than using the website that I originally posted.

BUMP.

I thought I would bring this old thread back to life for our newbies who post pictures. If you have X/P, just download this and install it. When you right click on a picture, you will have a resizing option. "Small" usually works well here.
