Disc Brake Cailper addaptors for e-bodys

Has any body seen these or used them?

If you can use your drum spindles and just buy rotors and calipers they seem to be a pretty good deal.

Ron I don't know about that particular setup. But it's the same premise as my SSBC set up. An adapter braket, to keep the stock drum spindles. Should work fine I would think, and for allot less $$$

I'd swap out the spindles for stock 73-74 e-body! Cheaper and easier in the long run? Different brake lines, rotors , bearing spacers, maybe dust caps?
Look at this post, maybe ask DMZ73 to pick up what you need?

I have the 11 3/4 'Doba brakes. Work pretty well. I wonder how thick that bracket is they are selling? Better be stout...

I have been looking in the local junk yard for some 73/73 A-Body spindles but no luck so far. 

I agree, I am not a big fan of bearing spacers either.  Too much of a chance for something to go wrong.

I really want to put 11 3/4 cop brakes on my car when I put the 15” rims on my car.  Which will be a while?  So, I think I will just keep looking for the spindles and 11 ¾ caliper brackets

Scarebird has been making these products for a while now and I've heard decent things about them. It certainly is a better deal than some of the other full blown kits out there.

I wouldn't woory too much about bearing spacers. Use some green loctite and they should work out okay. 

You know, the AR Engineering 11.75 Viper kit is designed to use drum spindles. You can get the caliper adapters for around $180. Depending on the source, Viper calipers are around $500 a pair used. Throw in a master cylinder and you've got world class braking for under a grand. Wilwood also makes kits that have bearings specifically designed to fit the small bearing drum spindles as well for around $800, but they use much smaller rotors.

No 'doba spindles? I'm running those with no issues on my Barracuda  :dunno: :thumbsup:

I have a set of the older ones that used a 300m rotor and required at least 16 inch wheel.If you are interested I would be willing to make you adeal on them.Also have the ones to convert an 8 3/4 to disc brake.They are made from 1/4" plate that is laser cut.Pretty nice quality IMO.

That's kinda pricey? :dunno: Just post on here in the parts wanted section! Ask for 73-74 e-body! Then you can get the big rotors with no spacers!

I can get both spindles, backing plates, and the brakets from the junk yard for $40.00 a side.  I just need to wait until they get one in.  I was there two months ago and they had one, but when I went back some else had pulled the brakes.  New Rotors run $80.00 a peice and I will run new calipers.

I've got a set of spindles, caliper adapters, and Wilwood calipers with poly matrix pads. Add a set of 11.75 rotors from Rock Auto and your in business. PM me if you want to know more.

the rotors are $58/ea at rock auto.  If you're waiting for the 73+ E/A spindles you may have to wait a while.  The B/F spindle you'll find quicker.
