Thanks. I havent put a vacuum gauge on it but it seems to pull plenty and is extremely and entirely streetable. Saturday I drove it over 4 hours round trip without a hitch. I also drive it ever chance I can including more than a dozen times in Charlotte rush hour traffic. Even in 95 plus degree weather I've never seen it run more than 190 degress!

Thanks again guys. I'm still grinning ear to ear!! My buddy took some action shots of it at the track and is sending them to me tonight or tommorrow. He told me that when it launched it looked like one more inch and there would have been light under my front tires!! Cant wait to see that.

Good job Dave!  What is your engine combo?

Its a 416 stroker with Eagle crank, rods and Ross pistons that has Eldebrock Performer heads (junk according to some on this site) that have a decent amount of port work, Performer 340 air gap intake, a solid roller cam that is around a 550 lift (can remember exact #s), A 750 Demon carb (again susposed junk), MP distributor, MSD 6AL box, 727 tranny with a reverse valve body and a trans brake (never used), PTC 4000 stall, an 8 3/4 rear with strange axles, 3:73 gears and a 741 carrier  :scared: (which really is junk), a 37 year old completely stock fuel system and a completely stock suspension with 20 year old air shocks out back. Drivetrain is 6 to 7 years old has about 15k miles on it of which I have put over 5k on it myself and have never had one moments problem with. In 2 1/2 years I have hardly touched the engine other than to change the oil and spark plugs!!! :2thumbs:

Way to go Dave!    I like hearing that about a small block.  I am a small block guy also and know that they can run with the big boys.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

As for pics check out www.raceworks.com and go to the 2009 season photo gallery and click on the Rockingham/Carolinarides pictures. There are 3 pics there (got to buy them though >:(). 1 burnout and 2 launches, I try not to brag but I think it looks flippin awesome coming out of the hole! I found out some even better news today. A guy at the track had a weather station and it said the air quality was about the same as running at 2600ft (Rockingham is close to sea level) and that most guys were 2 tenths and 2-3 mph off there normal times!!! My best friend was running his Mustang and that was exactly the case for him as well. He normally runs consistant 10.80s at 125 and his best for that day was 11.07@121.5!

Heres a couple of pics! One more inch and there would be daylight under the front left tire!! If I can knock off one more tenth of 60ft time I think they will be hangin out to dry! ;D And yes you do see it correctly... My dumbass is running lower 11s with no helmet on. :screwy: I knew it was going to be an easy day when the tech guy ask me only one question and didnt even check over the car! The track was rented out by a local car club so the rules werent enforced. :nono:
