    yes, you are correct. They will be hard to find. To make the seat belt indicator work it is going to require seatbelts with contact switches and the wire leads eh? With the price of seat belts I have seen I will probably pass on that feature unless I can find a different model car to get them from.  What is that time delay relay for?   :dunno:

    Also, I assume the o/h console cars use the roof mounted rearview mirror and not a windshield mounted mirror? I need to index the location of the console and was hoping someone could give me a measurement from the edge of the mirror base to the forward edge of the console? I have got another roof crossmember from a donor car that will provide the second attachment point for the o/h console    :working:   

    Appreciate any help you SE and Gran Coupe people can offer  :1zhelp:

    Mike...we don't have any kind of contact switches in ours at all.  The seatbelt light stays on for about 10 seconds then goes out.  I think it's just a reminder light (unless someone gutted our belts).  I can get you measurements tomorrow afternoon.  And yes, the mirror is roof mounted.

    Hey Mike. We measured from the mirror base to the front of the console and it was 3/4 of an inch.

    cool - thanks for that! Where can I get the interior wire clips from? I see them at the base of the door panels. The 4 sockets on the console look the same so I assume thats the type of fastener that attaches the console?

    The seat belt light is controlled by the same time delay relay that controls the ignition and switch panel delay lights.

    The pic of the low fuel relay on the Mike Tyler post.........can someone tell me exactly where this is to be located.......  along with alot of other parts mine is in a box........   I want to know its exact location.......thanks everyone

    The low fuel light relay is mounted above the right side of the glove box

    ok, here's some info for you low-fuel relay gurus. The 72' parts book shows the low fuel relay as being a 2983828 the same I guess as used on the previous Gran Coupes and SE Challys. However, that part number changed after Nov 1971 to 3620858, 3620859, and 3620860 depending on the model car it was in. The bracket is in different locations and the 72 unit only has three posts. I think they did away with the separate ground post and use the bracket-to- body as ground.

    The good news is that there are a few of these units still in stock at Ma Mopar. Also found the time delay relay 2889565 for the seat belts (same as the 70-71 SE and GC). Got both of these for under $20 shipped.  :woohoo:

    Sure beats dealer pricing and shopping here:  :ebay:

    and while we are on the subject of mounting an overhead console, where does this bracket come in? From what I have I thought it snapped into place with the four wire snaps. Can anyone explain this parts function?
