didn't strip the bumpers. Sanded them down with 120 grit and sealed them with an epoxy primer. Wet sanded down smooth and painted. This is the only pic I could find without the chrome on the tailpanel.
That tail panel you posted a picture of is not the correct layout for an AAR or 'Cuda.  It has not got the chrome trim and it is painted out as if it was for a Gran Coupe (which has different chrome trim again) but in Black.  Here is a picture of a correct rear panel Blackout with the trim and a painted rear elastomeric bar.

Where can I find the tailpanel moulding?  Thinking of trying to paint it w/o any chrome trim. Not a 100% correct car but I do want it to look good.

Are you not happy with the way it looks right now?  Personally I would not touch a thing on it.  You say you don't care if it is correct, but you want to find the correct molding and color?  I'm not trying to poke you or anything, just trying to see what is wrong with how it is right now.

I really like the sparse look without the wheelwell trim or rear panel chrome. Just more places for moisture to collect and corrosion to start.  :2cents:

Well I like it but don't like it. It needs something else to break it up.  Maybe paint it black with a 1/4" silver pinstripe where the chrome would be? Even open to any ideas.

B5barracuda Very nice.  Well, here's how mine turned out. Used a 1/4" bright silver pinstripe around the edge and painted a semigloss black. Doesn't look that glossy in person as in the pic.

Very Nice! I think it looks tons better. You did it really fast too. I think the pinstripe looks fine. Congrats on a job well done!   :2thumbs:

that turned out awesome      I have been thinking of pinstriping instead of using the trim because of the holes in the body.  I`m very convinced now I will do the same...  great job  :woohoo: :2thumbs:
