I am in the process of installing a stereo in my wifes Sebring. I forgot to take before pics but starting tomorrow I can take middle of the tornado pics for all to see. I remember now why I hate installing stereos.
I got a good deal on a JVC deck a while back and had some other stuff laying around. I bought a nice Total Audio 80x4 amplifier. Total Audio is a JL Audio company so the stuff is supposed to be good. I already had to take back the 6x9's for the back because they were too deep and had too big of a magnet on them. I tried to get some Boston Acoustic SX 95's which are more shallow because of their neodymium magnets. Out of stock
I got what they had that would fit which is a pair of Rockford Fosgates. Never even heard them so we will see.
The front stage is comprised of Total Audio 6.5" components. Pretty nice little set with 3 way attenuation setting on the crossovers. I am going the extra mile and splitting the component set up and putting the tweeters in the stock 3.5"speakers dash location. I did the same thing with my neon and it really made a difference. I could not believe it but the stock front door speakers were 6x9's also. I had to make a set of speaker adapters to mount the 6.5's to.
I know you guys hate reading posts without pics but it is dark and I aint getting eaten by bugs. I took a couple of pics of the tweeter setup I will install tomorrow. I have to use plumber strap to build a mounting pad for the tweeter. It offers a lot of adjustability on height that way. The tweeters also can be moved around in their housing which lets me direct them a certain amount. I still have a lot left to do but running the power cable was a trip in itself, not to mention how I had to run the door speaker wires. I am doing away with the stock wiring all together so all the speakers are getting fresh new wire from their locations to the amp. To be continued..........
