Projects stalled.................grrr
« on: September 06, 2009 - 12:40:51 PM »
OK my 70 GC and 69 Bee projects are stalled. GC is painted and ready for reassembly and Bee needs complete resto. I can seem to find the time to start on them again. Due to a crap economy and less dollars and getting married for the first time(at 44 lol) I took on a wife and 2 kids december 31 of last year. I hope i can get back on them soon, way too many "honey doo's". I have thought of selling the Bee but have been able to hold on to both cars in a crap economy. Most of my reduced salary is going to the family and a wife that is unemployed but looking for a job as she is an accountant.

Well the economy will improve & the kids will grow up & whille you are waiting the projects will not get worse so I would just ride this through for a while , the projects will get done in time ,
Congrats on finding someone special even if she has a long Honey do list !!

I know how you feel. I bought my Challenger before the economy took a dump. Then I took a 2000-3000 dollar a month pay cut and also had a kid. So now all my money goes toward my kid, and I have to work out of state because there is no work where I live for my job. So my challenger is sitting in my back yard under a cover, same way it's been for almost a year now. But I have it and it will be there for a long time so I'm happy. I am reading a lot and watching shows and learning as much as I can, and slowly building up a tool collection.

Stay with it dude, you'll get to it eventually. Just think: when you read Mopar Muscle or other mags you read about guys who have taken 20 years to get their car done. When it's done it will all be worth it.

thanks, I know what you mean, i took a 30k a year pay cut as well. Both cars are sitting in my shop waiting for me. I'm  hoping once my wife gets a job she will put less focus on me, lol. Luckily i bought everything i need to do  a complete resto on both cars when the economy was good and i was still single, lol.

:iagree: And considering the pay cut you had to take she dosen't want you for your money.  :2thumbs:  And at 40+ and getting married for the first time, she sure must be beautiful.   :roflsmiley:

CONGRATULATIONS and hang in there, you got two fine Mopars and the necessary parts...........in time they will be done. Logically you would complete the the one closest to that goal.  :2thumbs:

:roflsmiley: Well I'll tell ya, if we had the facilties and tools for that she would jump right in and try !  She has got head to toe dirty from presure washing old trannys and blocks  :roflsmiley: and she has had ample dirt and grease under her finger nails helping me do what we can to our cars. She helps me out in anything, just the last two weekends she has helped lug fire wood from us cutting up six trees on our garage property.  She is a special gal for sure and at the same time beautiful and sexy.  :naughty:  :bananasmi
