First New Pics Of The AAR Since 2001
« on: September 07, 2009 - 03:12:21 AM »
I went for a short cruise on Saturday down to Port Stanley, ON and over to Port Bruce and then up through Aylmer.
I took a few pictures of the bridge in Pt. Stanley ( I was stopped waiting for it to finish it's cycle ) and tried taking the odd pictures while I was driving, as seen by a few members on here.
I thought, why don't I stop by my fathers farm near Aylmer and take a few shots of the car ( the 1st since 2001, excluding car shows )
Corn was a nice background and the quanza building was ok too.

Just posting for the heck of it.
Enjoy!

Very nice.  I especially like the shots with the corn in the background.   :2thumbs:

I agree, #12 could easily be published in any magazine.  You should send it to a few.

Very nice!

Very nice car. Doesn't look like it's ever been driven.

One beautiful AAR. Thanks for the pics.

I never get tired of seeing pics of an AAR Cuda. My all time favorite car.

Thanks for the positive replies.  I had the car repainted in 1991 and the engine rebuilt at the same time so it shows well for an older restoration.
I use to drive it to work during the summer from 1985 to 1996 but I don't drive it as much now.

If that crappy car was not in front of me I could have tried the "Blues Brothers" stunt and then try the "Dukes" jump on the way back.
Maybe next time, maybe?

Very nice pictures.  Love the louvers.  Are they legal where you live?

Looks to be an aftermarket hood since it doesn't have the typical bow along the sides.  Even though the bow is accepted on these cars I have trouble living with it on my AAR.  I am thinking about stashing the original away in the basement and picking up an aftermarket one.  Where did you get yours from (assuming it is an aftermarket part)?

Cwestra, you have me curious and I'm not sure exactly what you mean, what is the "typical bow along the sides"?  Thanks.

I was referring to the warpage of the fiberglass hood.
