idle speed
« on: September 07, 2009 - 11:48:36 PM »
Ok I will admit I know nothing about a six pack setup.  When I advance my distributer, the idle goes up, but my idle adjustment screw on the center carb is all the way out so I can't lower the idle speed?? Ideas? Thanks :clueless: :clueless: :clueless: :clueless: You won't know unless you ask....

Like CP said.. idle speed should be set with the outboards disconnected, and after it's set then they should be adjusted for length and slid into the holes with no effort. Depending on the build, the idle should be between 650 and 900. I dont like anything over 800 myself but sometimes you have to.
