In here Kenny
« on: September 09, 2009 - 07:28:06 PM »
Here are the pics of the crashed 70 parts car I have and of the coumns. I have 2 floor shift columns and one column shift column. I forgot that my 70 project car does not have a column installed. Is part of the one year deal on the 70 a hole where the column shifter would go? Both the console shift columns I have have holes in them right where the shifter would be. Let me know if these are what you are needing. Look at the slinky crush can lol. The guy is lucky to be alive I tell ya. There might be another column lurking in the junk in both cars, I did not dig too far when I was at my dads the other day.
Last pic is what I like to call Plymouth-Dodge-Chrysler. If you squint you can see the 53 Willys Jeep with the hardtop on the other side of my dads 40 Plymouth.

What happened to the car? Is there a story behind it? Could I please use those pictures for my website Forgotten Mopars?

Yeah, the buddy who I gave the 71 Challenger top used to own it. It is a 318 car that he built up into a nice 440-6 driver. He was rounding a lazy curve in our town at over 100mph and lost control. He took out a light pole. He walked away from the crash but I dont know how. His chest literally crushed the crush can. Warped the steering wheel just a bit too. You are welcome to use the pics.

Hey Brett,   do you have plans to restore it some day?
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
