Spark Plug Recommendation 340 6-Pak
« on: September 11, 2009 - 08:21:59 PM »
The plugs I pulled out of my 340 6-pak were Champion N-10Y's.  The parts store spec'd out a resistor plug Champion RN14YC.  Which plug would be more appropriate for my engine?

The 10's are colder plugs than the 14's.  I used to sort of meet in the middle in my hot rodded 340 and ran N12Y's on the street.  I kept a set of N9Y's for the strip.    :2cents:

I asked the same question and 12's were recommended by members here.  But I had been running 9's for over 25 years, so I went back with a fresh set of RN9YC just last month when I changed the plugs.  No problems on my 340 4BBL.
