    Door hinge pin and bushing replacement

    Its time to fix my hinges. I know this is a topic that has been discussed alot on here but what i would really like to see are just some pics of the steps along the way.  If anyone here has pics of the steps that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    i did mine, pretty easy actually.
    no pics, but i do have some hinges off the car i could redo.   :thinkerg:
    we'll see who chimes in, if need be, ill redo em for ya , and step by step it.

    I just bought the hinge repair kit on eBay it cane with the pins and these metal looking bushings. My hinges only had pins so I just replaced the screws and left out the metal bushings. The door seems to close right anybody done anything similar?

    you definately wanna use the bushings, they protect the actual hinge assemblys.
    our big heavy doors will eat up everything.

    you dont have any up and down play on your doors?
    lift up on one.

    the "help" line universal hinge service kits at autozone and the like work, I used them (2 kits) to do all 4 hinges (I drilled out the lowers and put bushings in). The uppers are pretty easy, just drive the bushings out after removing the pin. I'm sure the replacement pins don't look stock but if you don't care about that kind of stuff they work fine. I did these with a hand drill. Sorry for crappy cell phone pics

    no i did that. my original pin did not have bushings thats what made me go that route.. i guess i can always replace the hinges in the future if i need to...i hope  :sadwavey:
