R26 option
« on: September 14, 2009 - 10:17:22 AM »
According to my window sticker and build sheet my car came with a R26 am/cassette player. I thought that was only a 71 option ? Also does the cassette mean 8-track on the hump, since I have no console.

thnx

not sure what year your car is but the cassette player was an option even without a console it just uses a different braket on the floor

AM radio with cassette (no recorder for '72, the center hump mounted recorders were a '71 only deal)

The cassette player was integral with your radio.

Ah,  So that solves the mystery. its a all in one unit.  Thnx , I did not remember seeing screw holes in the floor tunnel. A mind is a terrible thing, to waste or not.
