Holley blue is high pressure pump that needs regulator just before the carbs. But it usually comes with one.
Return line is not needed.

Holley works but its pretty noisy if you dont get it in very good place. If you think its too noisy, try mallory.

It is noisy for sure, Mine is on the left frame rail, and I do have a pressure regulator mounted to the passenger inner quarter to feed the carbs

I put on the  holley hP gerator model... real quite and great for the street....  :working:

Well I finally got the pump in...the wife was away so daddy will play!! Honey do list out the window...kids fast asleep...me....who needs sleep!!! :sleeping:

Couple of questions.

1. My pump dosn't have a return line on it so What will I do with the inlet on the sender, cap it off??
2. Where do I hook up the vapor line that runs up to the front of the car??

Tonight I will wire it in and finish hooking the lines up  :2thumbs:

Yes cap off the return line and I took out all my junk vapor lines and capped that stuff off except I ran a peice of fuel line into the frame rail back there for venting...  I would still have a good filter before the pump those junk azz socks can come off ya know... Get a fuel pressure gauge for the reg also:working:

I have tried 2 different Holley HP 150 gph pumps and both would fail after running for about 1/2 hr.  Then they would start working again the next day.  Unrealiable.  I have the pump mounted on the pass side frame rail about even with the middle of the gas tank (only place I found to miss the 3" exhaust, dana, springs, shocks, etc).  Holley Tech was adamant that the pump needs to be mounted below the bottom of the gas tank and claimed my mounting location was causing the pump to cavitate, overheat, and then fail in thermal overload.  The pump only pushes, it can't pull.
I now run an Aeromotive pump in the same location and no further problems.  The Aeromotive is noisier than the Holley but it works.

I made an isolator mount so that my pump does not have a steel-to-steel connection with the car.

I noticed that water pump too.  Used on 400s and late 440s.  Have you had a radiator in the car yet?

Yeah before i stripped the car down there was a 22inch rad in there, hopefully later on down the road I will get a 26inch. The 22 worked before the rebuild and I'm sure will work for me until I get the 26! :2thumbs: As for the waterneck I got that from MotorChrome.com

When you switch to a 26, change your water pump to the driver's side entry type. You'll get better cooling if the inlet and outlet are on opposite sides.

My 71 vent line vent to my valve cover breather.

I don't because when I pulled my engine, I found out that it was a newer year than my car. It was swapped and the hose was left off.  Someone here might have a service manual handy. Mine is at home.
