Is the set off your 71? It changes between some of the years, big block small block? If it was a 70 I would give you my first born.

No it's not off my 71 but it did come off another challey. I will take some pics tonight and post tomorrow. How can I tell what year it came off?

I asked this exact same question a couple of months back and receive zero responses.  Mine A/C stuff is all original and came off a 70 Barracuda.  I have been watching EBay and other sites, I you do not see it all for sale at once.  I sold mine to a member here, and I can PM you the price we agreed upon if you want. 

I did not try to sell it anywhere else, as I wanted to help out a CC.Com member, and I am not going to reuse it.

Where are the connections for the condenser located? As you can the years play havoc on the A/C system. My original 70 system was removed by the previous owner. I'm not sure if you acan put a 71 in a 70 or vs versa, but there maybe a hickup here or there with the connections.

Maybe $50.00.

Most people buy condensors and driers new.  So all you're paying for are lines and the ugly arse compressor, which I think most folks would just opt for a lightweight Sanden compressor for the majority of folks not worried about 100% originality.

I am sure you can but not without using the year specific hoses. The 71 setup has lines coming in on either end of the condensor. I did not know that 70 was different. My 70 'Cuda did not have A/C. Anyone with a decent 71 condensor for sale, hit me up, I am looking for an original.

do you have any pics at the firewall? i need to find the Z shaped part that goes to the compressor & want to make i know what it looks like.  i pulled on off of a 1970 valient, but it looks different from the various photos in the magazines (plus, the 'zoom-in' feature on my eyes is no longer working  )

Thanks for the pics.  It is what i was afraid of.  The Z tube is different on the A-body, it doesn't bend up and over the line to the condensor.  Rats.  i guess i can sell it to some one who needs one.  Now i have to find the right one!  What is the technical term for this part.  i just called it a Z tube, cause that is what it looked like to me!

looks like you have a different heater valve too.  i guess there were two types?

I am not sure what it's called either.   

I looked in my manual and there is no reference to that part.

Im confused what part you are talking about. Is it on the firewall or by the condensor?

That appears to be an aftermarket water valve.

We are looking at the bracket which hold the A.C line to the firewall, the hose on the right, that has a screw in it.
