the problem is that the guy who was gonna paint it decided to go into smog and mechanical repair. hes closing the shop and regardless ill have to find another shop to do it.

most wont paint it because of the primer but the ones that will tell me that i wont have any warranty

i think everyone is pulling me into the wait and save more money stage

anyone want to volunteer to post pics for me?
thanks guys

Oh yeah, when you check out a shop and see their work, find out who shot (actually sprayed) the car, and does that person still work there? Seems that the good ones move around a lot. So that nice paint job may have been shot by a guy who doesn't work there anymore. If you can make out a list of questions to ask a shop and keep track of it, that can help in the selection process. Like others have said, most places don't want to shoot a car that they didn't build up from bare metal...

save up  and find a reputable shop to do it right,

I heard someone once saying :"I'm not that rich to buy cheap junk".

It was $5000. ten years ago to paint a Toyota Celica. No major dents, just rock chips.

:2thumbs:

For next time...consider taking a hobbyist auto-body course at a local community college if possible.  Ours here costs $250 for the class which basically is rent for the spray booth and facilities.  :2cents:
