Yesterday I started a four month term on our county grand jury. What a bunch of looser scum bags society is filled with    And I live in a rather sedate "rural" part of the country. But it seems we may be only  "out done" by sheer population numbers and not low life charcter. Sad !

You might recall my thread when I did jury duty earlerthis year. The Romanian family claiming they all were injured when they were rear ended by the old man. Us jurors told them to pound sand since the impact wasn't substantial.

I cannot figure out where we found so many judges with no an once of common sense with most of the judgements I see + they seem to have no clue how this rediculous judgements affect society by setting insane precidence

People think that an accident is their way to cash in, their version of winning the lottery. I read about a family in our area that found a lizard in their can of green beans when they dumped it in their pan, they didn't eat any of it just found it and they were going after the manufacture. There are enough bad lawyers out their that will take any case because companies are afraid of law suits. Todays lawyers are tomorrows Judges

My In-Laws have a neighbor who is one of those scum-bag lawyers you see on TV.  He even drives around in a bright yellow Hummer with "Emergency Response Vehicle" on it with a big accident scene image.  I hate to see people down on their luck, but him (his type) not so much.  It looks like he has to declare bankruptcy, eat about $300K on a house he bought 4 years ago, getting divorced, had to sell the town courthouse he bought, and it goes on.  Sounds like a good country song.

I'm serving on the grand jury, deal with felony cases only. The grand jury only determines if the the prosecurtor has sufficent evidence and should actually take the case to court and a jury trial before a judge.

They most certainly are. They were my dad's as well. Maybe it's something in the water. I'm just a little north of you in Mahoning County bordering Portage and Columbiana.

My wife's mom (who I don't care to associate for many, many reasons) worked at McDonald's as a manager. She told a worker to mop the floor. She then slipped on the floor (that SHE told someone to mop) and tried to sue McDonalds! WTF!
