1970 E Body 727
« on: September 19, 2009 - 04:18:20 PM »
In my many transmission cases that I buy as cores, I came across a 1970 E Body 727 that initially came behind a 340.

Trans Numbers are:

Driver side:

PK3410769  3055  8308

Passenger side:

0B234262

you being the E Body guys/gals and all, and me a big B Body guy, I was hoping you can provide me with some insight.  I have torn the transmission down and the internals are in great shape (no overheating signs and all components are in check).

I plan on doing a complete overhaul on it and putting it up for sale, in which I would post it here first for you all before I hit the other sites with it.

Let me know what you all think of its innate value prior to and after a overhaul.  I have been rebuilding 727's for 10 years.

Thank you for your time.

its only worth more than what a normal rebuild and core charge would cost, except if its the numbers matching trans to someones car. :2cents:

i guess it being the right numbers for a 340 6 pack / 6 barrel transmission means nothing?  i guess i had something special there.

The VIN is to low to be from an AAR or T/A. The same part number was used for 340 4-BBL cars too.

Since it is from a 1970 Hamtramck car, it has to be from a Cuda, Challenger or Duster.
