Hey guys, I know, I know, long time, no post.  My cousin, 19 years old, has a bunch of money saved up for his first muscle car.  Spotted this one not very far, in fact, I think I've seen it at a show or two.  I'm guessing around 10k, how bout you guys?  I told him I'd go look at it with him, and check out the common bad spots.  Thanks   :wave:

I would agree, some where in the $10,000 to $10,900 range. Looks like a nice car overall.

I would say it's a $10k car if the drivetrain runs out strong and you like the way it is currently set up and don't plan on any big mods that will run $ that you won't likely get back on a resale.

Hey Steve, Give it a shot at $8,500 and see if the seller is open to negotiations :dunno: never know, he may just want out. No harm in trying. :wave: need to ask questions first and what the original color of the car was and why is the engine bay black like a Chevy's :22yikes:

That's a pretty high stall and rear gear.  I would ask if the car has seen much track time.  If he is going to be using it for a daily driver, he might want to see about a lower stall and maybe 3.55 rear, but that's pretty easy and not a lot of money.  Higher stall and gear = more wear and tear on the drivetrain, so be sure and have a mechanic look at it, too.

Comes with #s motor. I guess I would start at 10 but could see paying 12, good luck looks like a pretty nice car for someones first muscle car.

 :iagree:  I agree with 73Chally.  With 4.10 gears, it wan't set up for getting groceries, unless you're in a hurry.  It looks good but I would be curious if the car was beat on. 

Also, your cousin is 19.  Do you think he's mature enough to be careful with this car as far as going too fast, etc...  It's no raced out big block but with thte 4.10 gears it'll have a good punch.  Not to be a downer, just worried about him, seen a lot of teen car accidents lately on the news.

Thanks guys.  Pretty much exactly what I was thinking.  And if we go look at it, I'll take it for a spin to see how it acts. 

And thanks for the concern, SB.  He is the nephew of my cousin who has the '70 Roadrunner I've posted pics of before.  He washes it up and cleans it in exchange for driving it, so he can handle it.  He's better than most drivers on the road, thats for sure.

Thanks guys, he said he actually did get a hold of the guy, and went and looked at it.  He said he couldnt get a magnet to stick hardly anywhere.   :banghead:  He offered 8 and the guy laughed, he said he needed at least 11.  My cousin walked away, taught him well.
