340 engine

I have a 340 engine # 2780930-340-5 dated 6/17/71 I was told it was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago before I got it.Any ideal what I should ask for it?

There is this one on e-bay.It says As you know if you're looking for one of these blocks they are extremely hard to find.  Does anyone know anything about this? :clueless:

Thats a nice looking block and they are hard to find. That one on eBay looks good too but those cylinders look sleeved to me.

As a comparison, I've got a '69 340 engine w/x heads, complete carb to hp manifolds, well under 1000 miles and no one will look at it for $3k.  It's been for sale for 2 months. I'm considering splitting it and selling it all separately.  Perhaps nobody wants to spring for the whole lot in this economy.

Might be grooved for O-rings  :dunno:
