turning a 46re into a 46rh

i found a 46re for cheap and local tranny guy says he can change the input shaft to a non lockup. is it that easy?

That doesn't make an 46RE into a 46RH,it's still a 46RE! What are you trying to gain?

yeah, i was way off on explaining my intentions.
 i have a 46rh lock up and would like to turn it into a non lockup.

I am pretty sure there is a difference in the case also. (fluid flow)

If the case is the same,then the forward drum and pump have to be changed. Just an FYI,you cannot use a 727 drum unless it is a late model (90's style)727 forward drum.
