we scored today
« on: October 03, 2009 - 03:58:22 PM »
The weather was so beautiful this morning, we decided to go for a little drive about and found this great guy named Cuda Gary, he has a garage full of amazing parts for challengers and barracudas as well as a few other cars. We have been searching for the back window trim for our car and low and behold, he had it, it is in amazing condition. We scored bigtime with this find as no one has been able to help us find it. He has some great stuff, so now we have to save up a few more pennies in order to get some of the other items we require to spruce up the car.

If anyone has replaced the front and back window trims on a 67 Barracuda, perhaps you can give a little insight on how to do it as thre whole clip[ thing is a tad confusing to me.

thanks bunches

Hey Alison,
Just in case you did not know, the '67s did not have front & rear window trim, just the gaskets with a lock strip.

You can add the moldings, but you will have to remove the front & rear glass to install the clips.

Thanks Barry,

yes I knew they didn't come with chrome trim, just the moldings around our front windsheild is all faded and we have nothing around the back window except the rubber, we were told we could use chrome trim from 68-69 barracudas

scary to think we have to take the glass out for the clips but it's his car so who am I to argue lol

we also will put a new winshield in as well as the one we have is starting to go sort of foggy at the edges

this is all new to us so I appreciate any feedback and information

thanks

This is your best bet for hardware for the moldings. Tom is the owner.
