Complete Front End
« on: October 07, 2009 - 04:00:26 PM »
I have gone with an Alterkation front end in my car and I have every piece of the suspension to get rid of and I'd like to sell it all together.  This includes k-member, upper and lower control arms, torsion bars, sway bar, new hardly used calipers, Used rotors that are still good, all steering linkages, spindles etc.  Everthing except the power steering box.  I also have an extra set of new in the box bendix rotors available for some extra money if interested .  It has all new bushings in it was blasted and painted before it went in my car I have gone ahead and cleaned and touched up any spots that needed it.  I can get rid of the power steering box too for a few extra bucks.  My dads got a fedex freight account which will help keep shipping very reasonable. $550 obo, gimme a call at 201-615-8557, let's talk.

Would this be for a Challenger or Barracuda?? Are you located in Northern NJ. I am guessing by the area code. Thanks.

It's for a Challenger. I wasn't aware there was a difference sorry.  Yes I am in Hackensack, NJ but shipping shouldn't be to bad to most places since I have a shipping account for my business.

I don't know if there is a difference, that's why I asked. Thanks for the info. Any idea what shipping to Virginia would be??

Thanks. I'll give it some thought. If it were spring right now, I'd be all over it, but with Christmas upcoming I really need to conserve funds. If I can get some more O/T I may be up for it. It's something I could definitely use. Thanks for the info. If things work out and you still have it, I'll be ringing. Good luck with your project.

Too clarify the matter, you offered me $400 and I told you I had brand new in the box bendix rotors if it interested you for some more money since they were $125 each from kanter 2 years ago, and you can't even get as they are out of stock.  They aren't bs chinese $40 rotors or I wouldn't care.  You wanted me to include those in the $400 and I offered you to do that with out the Bendix rotors, and you said no.  I am not trying to get robbed here I am trying to make a fair deal and get this thing out of my shop.  There is no need for buyers to beware I have been nothing but up front with you or anyone else in my life for that matter.  I have owned my own business for the last 20 years which succeeded as a result of my reputation.  I am known by nothing but honest by anyone and everyone that knows me and I find the fact that you have gone to all my sales posts to bad mouth me some what offensive.  I told you the deal and you were not happy...typically that means ok, sorry things didn't work out but for you I suppose that just simply isn't  isn't acceptable.  We've all made offers that weren't accepted before, but I don't think many of us have gone on to bad mouth the seller.  Thanks again and I am sorry to all other members for seeming so hostile but this has gone and struck a nerve with me.

My son wrote the ad and honestly forgot to mention that I wanted additional money for the rotors in the ad but it was the first thing I said to you in the email.  It was a miscommunication between the two of us (my son and I) and in my initial email I mentioned that.  I am not a pro with the internet so he does a lot of this stuff for me.  From my first email to you: "I also have the upper control arms, torsion bars that are not in the pictures.  If you're interested I also have an extra set of new rotors and power steering box."  It's not like I shipped it to you with them when you were expecting to receive them.  It was a mistake and Chris has been away all weekend and couldn't edit the posting until he got home and that’s when we saw your post.  As per the additional amount I wanted for the rotors, I wasn’t asked, I just wouldn’t say they are not for sale or why would I mention it at all.  They were $250 and have not even been opened and you think $50 justifies me throwing them into the mix.  Now as a business man you should know that if I put $250 rotors into the package that would leave me with $200 for an entire front clip which has been freshly cleaned and painted and has about 1000 miles on the new bushings/rubber.  I believe new torsion bars alone cost something like $200.  This frankly is way too much drama and nonsense to be dealing with for me.  And honestly I do not accept your offer as a result of this.  You knew from our initial conversation that the new rotors were out of package.  Let the members here be the jury of this overly dramatic situation.   Now by doing things for people on this tight knit site do you mean holding other members under the gun for your own personal benefit over an error in communication between my son and I?

This is a complete joke, I hope you all understand that.  This whole ordeal is ludacris.  You agreed to the $450 but you wanted the rotors to be included.  My asking price was $450 without them.  I made it very clear that there was a miscommunication between my son and I about the way he posted the rotors.  But I did not miscommunicate that to you in the emails.  Had you said yes to $450 without the rotors it’d be in your garage by now.  Or to the $400 without the new rotors for that matter which I also accepted. And I wouldn't have to waste my time defending myself against your bs.  This is the last I will be writing about this.  The fact that you could even make a statement like that about these pieces after receiving pictures, is pathetic.  As per you hoping to run into me at nats or carlisle, what is the implication there?  I hope it's not what it seems to be because I'm not sure you know near enough about me to make a statement like that.  But then again we wouldn't be having this conversation if you did.  I do suppose that is the professional way of handling things though isn’t it?

Just to clarify,
The responses posted today by gtrpunk23 are not addressed to me (moparmaniac) but to another member who's post was deleted, so it looks like the response is directed to me which it isn't. I did read his post and I am sorry there has been a miscommunication. I think that matters like these are best resolved via private PM's and then there are less hurt feeling and public airing of disagreements!! I hope you guys can work things out and airbody be happy!!

I deleted them...They were my words.  I deleted them as I do not think this is the forum to verbally spar with pathalogical liars.  These posts are towards me not moparmaniac.  Sorry to all.

450 bucks sounds like a good deal for a complete new front end with sway bars and torsion bars included. Even with 1k miles on them.  If I needed new stuff, I'd have to consider jumping on it.

Shame that sometimes words can come across aggressive or insulting without smileys and stuff.   Hope this works out good.....
