But, for a Challenger, Theres an obvious choice as well. The soundtrack to "Vanishing Point". Not the whole thing with the strange off the wall stuff played by the DJ. No, just that background instrumental that runs through the movie as Kowalski is driving.

Exactly.  That's "Freedom of Ex-Pression," dude!

:o 1970: Oh wow man, that was groovy, far out man!  :P Translation: 2004: That's cool dude, bichen man, one bad song!  ::) The talk hasn't changed too much, just the music and the cars!  ;D
The Who: I Can See For Miles, Won't Get Fooled Again, Steppenwolf: (sp?) Born To Be Wild, Cream: Crossroads, Strange Brew and one for the old fellas here, Itchygoo Park! Okay, maybe not for driving the Mopar but still takes you back to that era!  :D

Bad Boy For Love.... Rose Tattoo (Aussie Band)
Roadhouse Blues.... The Doors
Shoot To Thrill.... ACDC

Hey 71Fish, you started this, it would be interesting to see which songs we all put down the most in here, now take a poll of the favorites for the all time favorite tune to drive by! Just an idea, I didn't want to do it since you started this thread. Thanks for the fun! Radar Love, oh yeah, LaGrange yup!

:P Yeah, that's about as good as saying I can out shift Ronnie Sox  :o Van Halen was in Park City Utah a few years ago but I haven't seen them for a while. They put on one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Too bad you missed them, I would have liked to have seen them this round too but was out of town for it. Maybe next time! They have a lot of good tunes to drive by, it would be hard to pick just one. One good one of Sammy's is I can't drive 55.  :D

Holy crap South of Sydney, my next door neighbor made me a compilation tape in the early 80's with mostly unknown (here in the states) cuts from bands like Earthquake, Budgie, Hawkwind, and Rose Tattoo. Wasn't Angry Anderson in one of the Mad Max movies? The Rose Tatto song was 'Astra Walley'. Couldn't understand one word but it definitely rocked.

Budgie...now THERE's a group I haven't heard from in ages!  I was a DJ in a AOR/underground rock FM station in Wichita Falls, Texas, back nithe 70s...and I think I was the only guy in the whole state who gave Budgie any airplay (I assume we're talking the same group).

i can certainly see the range of ages here, from the music im lookin at. im a classic rocker but like some of the new stuff. as far as im concerned Aerosmith AC/DC Pink Floyd Led Zepplin, are all the best music today and forever. there are many more that i havent listed but pretty much any rock music from the 60's 70's and 80's are my choices.  ;D 8)
