Torque Straps?
«

I'm about to put a stroked 340 in my 70 Challenger, I was told that I should install a '' Torque Strap '' to make sure I don't break the left side motor mount.
Can you guys help with the who, where and how much to spend parts of this?
THANKS!

Most people spend $2 (me too) on a chain. Usually running from the front of the head or water pump down to the frame rail under the battery. I like to put the chain on the back side of the head to the frame rail by the clutch linkage. This hides it and attaches to the frame at a stronger part (near the fire wall).

Mancini sells a quality torque strap . . I have one for the hardtop when I get it put together.

Here's another option for a cleaner original look. I put these Schumacher Magnum Poly-Loc mounts on the Road Runner. They look great and I don't have to worry about the header slamming against the shock tower anymore. Unfortunately, I couldn't get them for $2 though.
Here's a link...
