This is day 1 of the Engine / Tranny / Rear End swap. Once the engine is out, we'll get the Dog House painted. Then the new stuff goes in........
The big orange thing will go in the front of the big white thing....

Here's where the orange thing goes......

Here's a couple of Mopars that are already BAD TO THE BONE!!!!
How about a Plum Crazy 440 Six Pack, just like new..
Maybe a 66 Hemi Sat!!!

Looking good. Question for you on that left engine mount, is that a 318 mount utilizing a nut to get the proper spacing?

Looks like it'll work.

If you're running headers, you may want your starter on now.

I think it will work. I have heard of others doing that. I am in the same boat, getting ready to drop a 340 in my 72 and I don't have any correct brackets.

We really were having a great time, just put the old ratchet on '' LEFTY LUCY '' and yank stuff off the car. It was a blast.... Well, now it's time for the ugly hard work. Getting the power brake booster off was a real treat. What is the trick to getting that off???
More importantly, is there an easy way to get it back on???????
I think the trick here was removing the long bolt first.....

This is going to need some love...

Here's what I'm starting with.....

This is step #1, wipe it down with Acetone.......

QUESTION - - - I'm removing the A/C, will I need this??? I thought it was the heater control............

The 8 3/4 is in.....along with all the other goodies.

The cleaning continues......
This is a lot more work than I thought it would be!

Getting this cleaned up and painted will take a while..
Next is the heater fan motor and the wiper motor............

Looking good!  :2thumbs:

Hopefully I'll be doing this to my car soon enough. 318/904 to 340/833od. The rear will get swapped too, but as you know its e-bod 8.75 to b-bod 8.75 with offset springs.
